The Challenge
The wind energy market in Germany is experiencing rapid growth and the demand for our hybrid towers has increased significantly. To meet this demand, we have been steadily expanding our production and installation capacities. Today, we operate with more than 20 assembly teams working simultaneously across the country, each erecting a wind tower in approximately two weeks.
Coordinating logistics, equipment and personnel at this scale requires real-time transparency across all active construction sites. However, since many operational steps on construction sites are still carried out manually, achieving such transparency remains a major challenge.
Another critical factor is ensuring consistent process quality across our growing number of teams. With more projects running in parallel, maintaining high standards and minimizing variability becomes increasingly complex. Transparency is the key - not only for efficiency, but also for process quality assurance across our entire operation.
The Solution and Why CONXAI?
When we began our search for a solution, we weren’t specifically looking for an AI-based approach. Our focus was open-ended and results-driven. We were looking for the most effective way to address our challenges. That’s when we came across CONXAI.

The Impact
The solution is currently available as a first version. Initial construction processes are being detected, processed at the end of each day and visualized through a user interface. The system is currently being used with a select number of our assembly teams.
The current version of the system already supports lean management in identifying initial risks and uncovering potential savings.
In the coming weeks, we plan to expand the solution with additional features that will also deliver direct, tangible added value to our site foremen, so we can roll it out across all assembly teams.
